sonofsanta Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 The BBC are running a series of articles this week to celebrate what would have been Alan Turing's 100th birthday, starting with an essay by Vint Cerf. There's a lot of political back and forth over Turing, but I don't think anyone could argue that what happened was tragic, for Turing and for computing. He deserved better, and seeing the ongoing rise in recognition he's receiving warms the heart. 1
