recover pdf's with form data

Hi,

 

I'ved been asked to recover student reports that had been saved on a USB stick and has been corupted some how, the teacher think their home laptop/PC might have had a virus or corupted it some how.

 

anyway I tried recuva which found pdf's but there is no form data which is how staff filled in the reports.

 

is the form data stored seperatly from the main pdf file structure ?

 

anyone had any sucess recovering pdf's with form data?
