kimbsan Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Hi All, I was in position to setup a wireless authentication where by a user (using a laptop) is required to login with a username and password. I did this successfully by adding different users in the active directory. a registered user is in position to login and access wireless internet successfully but the problem is:- I failed to verify logged-in users so that when one logs-in, some other person wont be in position to login using details of a registered already logged-in user. with my configurations, two users can log-in using the same details. How can i over come this situation. In need of some steps on how i can avoid this. Thanks in advance
Geoff Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 It is not possible to restrict simultaneous logins in a W2k8 AD environment without 3rd party software.

Geoff Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 (edited) I would suggest you take a look at UserLock. There is a trial version you can download and test. Edited June 17, 2012 by Geoff
FAA Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Geoff is right, as UserLock will allow you to: - Limit or prevent concurrent logins to your Windows network, based on user, user groups, Organizational Units or session types. - Restrict user access to your network with multiple criteria: workstations, time, business hours, and connection type. - Follow the session activity on your network in real-time and get detailed, graphical reporting - Remotely close or lock user sessions, shutdown workstations, from anywhere using the Web console UserLock also provides educational organizations with specific features to secure and optimize a free access Windows network. You can download a free, fully-functional trial from IS Decisions website.
Jamo Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 I wrote an application called RSLogonLimit which does this. Tis free and requires no client installtion. RSLogonLimit | RS Applications
