Excel help please?

I am trying to copy excel cells like this

=c5
=c15
=c25

Hard to explain but I have about 400 cells to fill and I can fill series as it jumps in just one step at a time.

To make things more complicated I'm actually doing this in google docs!

 

Can anyone help please?

Do you mean you can't fill series?

 

What step jump are you looking for as in Office 2010 you can set that I know you said you were doing it in google.

Sorry, I am finding it hard to explain what I want to do here!

=concatenate(A571," ",B571) | =C573 | =E573

 

And on and on!

im confused just use the concatenate?

 

dont think i know what you want, say you have these cells:

3..5..j...t....6

 

what would you want as the result?

 

do you mean you want to lock the co-ords in the concatenation?

See I told you I was finding it hard!

I already have that in the six cells shown in my rubbish diagram but I now want to copy those down below stepping in steps of 34. When I try to fill series this doesn't carry on the steps of adding 34!

If you select the cells where you have already entered the formula. You will see a small black box at the bottom right of the selection range [see attached picture]

 

Click and drag this box out until you have populated the cells you want to have the copied formulas with the required values.

 

Job done.

That won't work for me! I think it is because it is a formula. If I just had

a503

a537

a571

 

I could do as you suggest and it works fine. but the minute it becomes a formula that doesn't happen!

Got it. I take out the equals sign. Then fill series and then do a replace to put the equals sign back in!

How odd!. I have just used your formula [in one column only] and copied the values down with the following result [see attached]

I think that if you manually enter the first few rows, then highlight all of them and copy the formula down, Excel will carry on your +34 pattern. Might be wrong though...
