HP DC7900 High-Speed Fan - Displayport

Hi all,

 

Hope the weather is good where you are?!

 

We have a little problem with our HP DC7900 Ultra-Slim Desktop machines.

They have the monitor connected to the standard VGA which works fine. To display this on the projector, we are using the HP Display Port Adapters, however whenever we have to connect these to the machine (if they aren't detected for whatever reason), the machine's fan spins up to full speed & stays that way until you reboot the machine.

 

I can't see anything online about it and wondered if anyone else has come across this and maybe knows a fix for it?

 

We currently have the latest drivers for the device.
