Just an ask if anybody knows how to do this Radius / HP-E-MSM430 / IAS / Server 2003

Hi, I wondered if anybody else has managed to get a radius working with Server 2003 IAS and the HP-E-MSM430 device?

I have plenty of HP 420's dotted around the school, they are working fine...

 

but I got one of these new expensive Wireless N devices (HP-E-MSM430) And Radius just keeps saying it was rejected.

 

I have checked the secret phrase a thousand times... I have set up a record on the IAS radius clients and entered the same secret phrase..

 

When I first got the thing I had managed to get it to work.. fluke... but now it just refuses... just says Radius Request Rejected by the server.

 

I'm a bit unsure what options in the Radius Authentication on the HP (MSM430) to use.. I have it set to MSChapV2? That was what it was set to before.

 

I have tried restarting the devices.. and restarting IAS.. still nothing.

 

has anybody out there managed to get this to work?

I think I got it to work now. Changed from MSChapV2 to PAP

 

the Procurve 420's never had this setting...

Oh and don't forget to turn off the security filter option in the HP MSM430 interface. IF you don't , you'll simply be authenticated with radius but no internet access will be available..
