Biometric Registration - UnitE

Hi all,

 

I'm looking for any information about schools or colleges which are using biometric registration with the MIS UnitE.

 

I seem to be struggling at the moment in my research to find companies or establishments where this has been implemented.

Have you spoken with the big players in that market? Biostore, Cambridge? have you spoken with UnitE and see what they say?

Your best bet would be to ask Capita / your account manager about any reference schools. I don't know anyone that uses it here. It's come up a few times in the odd thread.

 

The other option is to look at the list of technical partners for the SIMS product and see if anyone fits the bill i'm sure there are 1 or 2 there that do it. SQL Technical Partners | capita-sims.co.uk I presume if they work with SIMS, they would also work with UnitE or be willing to do so.

Unit-e is a completely separate product with a separate partnership program, api and fee structure. There's a list of partners at Capita FHE - Our partners.

It's given Capati quite a bit to think about. I'm awaiting their response. After speaking to a couple of companies it doesn't seem like this has been implemented before, but I'll wait to see what Capati have to say about it.

Bearing in mind yesterday's announcement from the Governement I would urge to proceed with caution!

Who knows what the result of the consultations will produce.......?

What age groups do the FHEs cater for though. The students might be able to sign for themselves.
