Gaz Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 I've got a 1500Va UPS that is powering a server, NAS, content filter (desktop pc) and a switch its load is currently at ~25% load is that a lot? I don't know a great deal about UPS's.
localzuk Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 I'd say that's about normal for that amount of equipment. We have a 10kVa unit here with about 10 servers and a DAS plugged in and it hits about 50% usage at times.
SYNACK Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 No, your fine, as long as it is not above 75% you have plenty of overhead for demand spikes and you should have alright runtime under that load too as the more load you have the shorter the battery will last in the event that the power fails.
