Hi - I hope this is an easy one...

I've realised this morning that I've no idea what my internal domain name is. Like, no clue.

It was suggested I run dcdiag from a command line on the DC to determine this, but nothing strikes me as "this is your local domain name" in the reams or nonsense that emerges after that...

It's probably a really basic one, and you're probably wondering how I've survived so long now without knowing, but what on EARTH do I do to find it?

Thanks... :/

You can access it from any client when you logon you will be told what domain you are logging on to.

Or when logged on to a client open cmd and type "set" and look for the value next to "USERDNSDOMAIN"

Aah I see. Same as the pre-windows 2000 domain name/short domain name!

KNEW it was that! Knew it so much I made a thread about it apparently but thanks - glad I pay my taxes now :)
