Hedghog Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 Hi, Just getting to grips with the more complicated areas in MDT 2010. I'm fine with LT deployment and I am now trying to set up the database side of things so I can deploy by MAC ID. Just got it all configured added applications and started on drivers by make and model. It is then that I noticed that the make and model part of the database looks exactly like the computer part, are these two parts of the database mutually exclusive or can they be combined in some way. I have the drivers stored correctly in my deployment share and was just looking at how to inject them using the MAC identifier to define the image to deploy. Any help would be appreciated even if it's only a link to a web page because M'Soft is a little unclear on this point. Cheers Peter
morganw Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 I believe that settings will be merged between the different settings pages, although there must be some precedence if you set duplicate information. I would recommend going through this which describe how to do driver injection by make and model based on BIOS strings, then everything else becomes more straightforward.
