tj2419 Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Hi I have seen on here and on HP and Dell websites that FOPE is free to education establishments but cannot actually register for it. I cannot find any reference to it on microsoft's website and without a link to their own website their support will not help me. Is anyone using it and got it free? How did you register for it? We currently have an EES agreement for windows and office and i would like to add this to it. Eben Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 I am having great difficulty getting this registered to and getting passed between the Volume Licensing and Passport/live@Edu depts. My reseller has added the Cals to my licensing but the subscriptions sections under the portal where I need to access this gives and error message. I have been informed by the Volume Licensing team that as our domain has been registered with Live@edu (not currently using it though), they advise me to disable this service so I can use FOPE. How far have you got with this ?
Eben Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 After nearly a month with have a contact within Microsoft is managing our migration to FOPE making sure the correct teams are involved. We are still unable to access the section of the VSLC we need to activate our subscription but microsoft are bypass this. Fingers crossed. How are your experiences? Paul

tj2419 Posted May 22, 2012 Author Posted May 22, 2012 Hello Our RM sales manager found a code that meant it wasnt exactly free but cheap. 1p per month per user so in total about £18 a year. We have downloaded the demo and are currently configuring that and then will activate the real thing hopefully.
Eben Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Is this for the 'Fore Front Online for Microsoft Exchange' filtering or are you referring to the exchange server instance? Not people who just want to get FOPE? I maybe wrong. If you could find the SKU that would be great and i will try that. Cheers
