spacebar Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 I have a horrible problem with domain users at the moment. Everytime they click to open a folder they get a new window. It is getting on there nerves. It even started to happen to me (super admin) after I reset my profile. Users dont have the power to change folder options so cant untick the new folder option. If anyone could help??? I cant seem to find the setting in GPO to correct this. Im not even sure how it started, as it did not happen to start with.
Firebeard Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 Open my computer Tools on the menu bar Folder options... Under browse folders select open each folder in the same window
spacebar Posted April 23, 2012 Author Posted April 23, 2012 Thanks for that, but most domain users are not allowed to do this. I can do it though.
Firebeard Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 If its students getting the problem and you use mandatory profiles then you need to have a look at that. If its staff you may need to look at the default profile. Not sure if this is a per computer setting or user setting?
spacebar Posted April 23, 2012 Author Posted April 23, 2012 Its only teachers, and I think its per machine as it will happen on some and not others, but that could be profile releated. I dont think it would be the default profile as users did not have this error to start with. There must be a way around this. If I find anything I will put it on here. Thanks for your help.
