Right, ok, so we've got a number of TTS hand held scopes and a few digiscopes in school that we have installed the AMCAP software for to allow the digital viewing. It's not until now that someone has also wanted to make captures of the images using the image capture buttons that I've found out this doesn't work unless you're an administrator.

So, I gave TTS a call, spoke to a guy who admitted he wasn't very familiar with the particular product, but had dealt with some issues with other similar products and so gave a few pointers - the main being that it's probably trying to save or run something somewhere a normal user doesn't have access (well DUH).

He suggested changing the save capture path in the software, so I had a look to see where this was, couldn't find it, so I asked him, at which point he pointed out it was a suggestion and doesn't even know if it's possible.

So, anyway, falling short of making EVERY user an administrator for tomorrow's science day (yes, the usual last minute planning) or going round and setting up a local machine account with admin privileges, does anyone have any magic answers that might help me out of a very big hole?

Thanks all

Andy T :)
