LCD monitor repairs - Notts

One of the few luxuries we have at the local hospital radio station I volunteer at is an Ilyama touch screen monitor

 

Unfortunately if after a period of use and especially when the studio is warm the screen goes blank

 

I am thinking its heat related

 

Anyone know of any local contact who could have a look at it

It is probably due to heat expansion on the power coil which is soldered with lead free solder, this causes one or both joints to become dry and in some cases cracked.

 

You could probably repair it yourself if you google your model and how to take it apart.

 

We have Neovo TFT's which have done this and it has been a common fault with them along with cheap capacitors whic we replace also.
