Sertheng Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 Hi Everyone! My excel 2010 has been giving me the most annoying problem for the past few hours, and I have no idea how to get by it! I tried everything I could think of, so here I am.... I am trying to copy a bunch of formulas from one sheet to another, but when I do the "Paste", I only get "paste as text" as an option. Thus, I can only copy the values. Anyone know what the problem is?? Thanks in advance!!!
Sertheng Posted March 25, 2012 Author Posted March 25, 2012 It seems that after a few restarts it works.... I am baffled
Hands Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 I have the same problem but it used to work on a previous version of the file ( when updated, I always do a 'save as'). The other issue is that the 'copy special' has only text options all the other normal options (formula, value, formating, etc.) are not there!
CESIL Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 I read somewhere recently that disabling Skype Click To Call and other add-ons fixes this problem...
Hands Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 I found that if I open Excel 2007 first and then open an existing file from inside excel the problem goes away. Simply clicking on the .xls file to open it, keeps the problem present. I think this may be rooted in the the Original version of Excel the the file was created in or the file may have been saved as an older version of Excel. Would love to hear your feed back on whether this works for you.
Sandman Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 Have you tried pasting the content into and out of notepad first. This will strip any formatting off the data and often fixes a lot of issues I have found.
