Microsoft Student software coming to an end

Is this anywhere here...I did a search but nothign came back, well you search Microsoft and get lots of answers

Is that 100%? I remember reading about it at Software4Students, but I thought I had read somewhere that it'd still be available but only via Microsoft's own web store. What that means in terms of actual % discount though I don't know...

 

EDIT: can't find anything to support my apparently false memory... damn...

When you create an account, you have register the name of your child and say which educational institution you child attends. I have no idea whether they ever cross check this information... or if they even can legally (they probably say in the T&Cs that you are authorising them to do so)
