Keyboard & Mouse issues.

Hi everyone,

 

Hoping somebody can help with this.

 

Dell Optiplex 755 - Keyboard and Mouse do not work - Usb Devices, no PS2 connections.

They appear to work whilst the boot up process is happening, lights flash etc and also work when operating within setup (bios) but once Windows has booted into the Ctrl-Alt-Del entry screen they no longer work, no lights etc.

 

Anyone know why please?

Go into the bois and press ALT + E then ALT + F reboot and see if it works then.

 

That will do an full factory restore of the bios.

You may find that because they're USB devices, Windows doesn't find them immediately.

 

Try logging onto the computer (somehow), then re-inserting the USB devices to get them to re-install.
