edie209 Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 This is quite a simple question really. We currently have a 2003R2 domain, on which we have a Exchange 2007 server (running on a 2003R2 Server). We are now about to upgrade to Server 2008R2 and need to run adprep /forestprep and domain/prep But I would like to know if anyone knows of any issues for exchange 2007 with upgrading the Active Directory Schema.
ChrisMiles Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 From a quick google search, you must have exchange 2007 sp3 installed to run it on 2008 r2. So best make sure its installed first.

edie209 Posted March 6, 2012 Author Posted March 6, 2012 Ok I have now done all the updates and have found a gotcha. Mobile devices no longer connect, has anyone had this problem before? I am able to see the mobile partnership in Exchange management tools and I can remove the partnership yet I am not able to get the mobile device to connect. I will now start searching but if anyone knows a solution it would be much appreciated.

I have just installed on the exchange server and we still have the same problem. We can connect fine using OWA however mobile devices just can't connect via Activesyc. sukh Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Your external records in DNS dont seem to be setup. How do you access OWA externally? Have you setup the DNS records for autodiscover? What names do you have on your cert?

I don't know about dns will have to check (only been in the job for about 8 weeks) Everything was working though before the servicepack updates which were sp1/2/3 and rollup 6
