This is quite a simple question really.

We currently have a 2003R2 domain, on which we have a Exchange 2007 server (running on a 2003R2 Server).

We are now about to upgrade to Server 2008R2 and need to run adprep /forestprep and domain/prep

But I would like to know if anyone knows of any issues for exchange 2007 with upgrading the Active Directory Schema.

Yes I saw that, but is that if you install exchange 2007 on a 2008R2 machine? we will be leaving exchange on a 2003R2 machine for the time.

Edit Just as well I asked I have just noticed that the Exchange server here has never had any of the service packs opps

No effect if you just want to update the schema. i would put on the latest sp 3 and RU6.

Ok I have now done all the updates and have found a gotcha.

Mobile devices no longer connect, has anyone had this problem before? I am able to see the mobile partnership in Exchange management tools and I can remove the partnership yet I am not able to get the mobile device to connect.

I will now start searching but if anyone knows a solution it would be much appreciated.

I want to bring this one up again, I was told that it was our certificate that was the problem so I have waited to get one of the free ones from SWGFL, which I got today.

I have just installed on the exchange server and we still have the same problem. We can connect fine using OWA however mobile devices just can't connect via Activesyc. I have noticed a 1309 error in Event Viewer

Your external records in DNS dont seem to be setup.

How do you access OWA externally?

Have you setup the DNS records for autodiscover?

What names do you have on your cert?
