Seem to have gotten this working (kind of) but when I log in the document folder is empty.

I have a red cross next to services activated

a red cross next to basic settings as well as it wont let me save the settings I enter, it simply puts an error up "System.ServiceModel.ServiceActivationException" when i click save.

when i browse to

https://intranet/hap/api/test

I get OK

when I browse to

https://intranet/hap/api/setup

I get an error:

"Server Error in '/hap' Application.

Security settings for this service require 'Anonymous' Authentication but it is not enabled for the IIS application that hosts this service."

I was confused over that part of the setup as the youtube vid says to untick anonymous access and tick basic authentication but the pdf says the opposite. Ive tried both and neither get rid of this error.

any help appreciated

If you are using basic authentication, make sure you add
AuthMode="Windows"

to the AD node in the hapConfig.xml file (after you have set it up)

are there some instructions ive missed? How do I setup a hapconfig.xml file?

Hi Nick

I started again and followed the instructions to the letter. When I browse to the setup page on the server I get all red crosses but If I do it on another computer I get all green ticks.

Still getting a red cross on the basic settings for active directory. sometimes when I click save I get the error

There is something wrong connecting to your AD Infrastructure,

please review the AD settings and try again.

The most common cause of this is using a user not in the Domain Admins or Administrators Group

I am attempting to enter the username and password of a domain admin.

If you have managed to click save, what gets written to ~/app_data/hapconfig.xml? (you can omit the username & password).

Check on line 2 that

local="en-GB"

exists, if it doesn't add it

yeah im doing the config on the remote machine

when i click save on the active directory settings i get this in firebug

Object { GetADTreeResult=null}

In each of the tabs, only hit save once you have filled in as much info as you can.

Don't worry about the AD User Lists, as this is only for the booking system/help desk.

On the configuration page, you should have a load of tabs and boxes that you fill in to configure HAP+. This includes group names, LDAP paths, UNC paths and other settings

couldnt get it to work so tried version 4 so I could follow the video step by step. sort of worked for a minute but then nothing. not getting any response when I browse to the site now and the RM Management console has stopped working, returns an IIS error. Gonna restart the server shortly to see if it goes back to normal. Bit worried ive buggered something up but I havent messed with any settings away from the hap stuff :/

If it has an issue, continue and see if after it's setup it will work, sometimes the tick doesn't work (and the helper tree doesn't load, that's just HAP+ having a little issue populating the AD Tree, just continue)
