andyturpie Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 Hi Guys, We are migrating to live@edu from easymail and exchange. Just wondering if there was a quick way to bulk reset all 1534 passwords at once before the migration. We cannot see any option when logged in as admin? Please give me some good news lol.
sukh Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 See this - Password Control and Bulk Modify for Active Directory 1
MicrodigitUK Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 Did this about 2 years ago so might not still be th same but try this: In easy mail User Account Administration section select the Export All Users link. Save the CSV file. Add a password field populated with your new password. Then import the CSV back in to reset the password. 1
andyturpie Posted February 29, 2012 Author Posted February 29, 2012 @sukh - thanks for the tip, however I am trying to reset the easymail password within the easymail web admin console. @MicrodigitUK sounds quite straightforward, but would this not affect the mailboxes etc?
andyturpie Posted February 29, 2012 Author Posted February 29, 2012 @MicrodigitUK - That worked a treat, tried it on a newly created test group - I doff my hat to you sir! Thank you
sukh Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 I haven't used RM stuff for well over 12 years, not sure how they work anymore It shouldn;t effect mailboxes as you're only messing with the password attribute not an Exch attribute :-) 1
