Impero licensing: is there a limit to the number of teacher workstations?

Impero website says "You only have to pay for concurrent Client Access Licences or CALS". This seems to imply that once the clients are licensed you do not have to pay more for teacher workstations.

 

We are planning on having two suites of laptops for the students moving between classes, but stationary computers for the teachers, attached to interactive whiteboards. This means we will need a relatively large number of teacher workstations for the number of clients.

They dish out 1 console license per 30 client licenses if i remember correctly, or you can purchase additional console licenses for £100 a piece.

 

Don't quote me on that though, was a while back we purchased it, but those figures ring a bell.

 

EDIT: but obviously you can have as many teacher PCs with it installed as you have client licenses, so long as the concurrent console users is at or less than your purchased amount, so it doesnt matter if you only have one console license, multiple teachers could use it so long as they dont use it at the same time.

We have Impero at one of my sites and there is no distinction between a teacher and student PC, they are the same. A console licence is only used when a user opens the console, when they close it it's no longer a console and drops back to being a client. The only exception is that an iPad is always a console even when it's not connected.

Thank you. That works out okay for us then. We may have a lot of computer that the teachers may potentially use, but there will only be two or three in use at a time.

What @hit said is correct. We did it this way on purpose as Jollity said might be many potential computers but only use them once every month for example...
