Webdav on our windows 2008 r2 server issue

I’m trying to setup webdav on our windows 2008 r2 server, (ultimately we would like our schools iPdas to access and save to our server.)

 

I followed this guide:

The problem I am getting is it keeps getting to a point where by I'm repeatedly asked for my credentials, then I get this error:

 

401 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials.

 

You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied.

HP ML330 G6 server

Windows server 2008 R2

Active Directory with around 200 users

 

HP Microserver

Windows server 2008 R2

Remote Desktop Services

Webdav

I found this post in my endless Google searching for a solution. I have the exact same situation as the OP and followed the same guide with no luck.

I've got the same issue but only when i try to navigate directly to a sub folder, if i go to the root i.e. https://work.myschool.com and navigate down the folder structure it works fine.
