mdench Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 £2.50 per month unlimited broadband deal set to spark price war - Mirror Online Supermarket giant Tesco sparked a broadband price war yesterday by slashing the cost of unlimited use to £2.50 a month. For a quid less than the price of its own brand Italian Pepperoni Pizza (335g) for £3.59, families can download as much material as they want for around 9p a day.

FN-GM Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 (edited) I was on Tesco a few years ago and the connection and service was pretty good! But its only 2.50 for the first 12 months. Edited February 14, 2012 by FN-GM
mdench Posted February 14, 2012 Author Posted February 14, 2012 might have to look at changing over on the post office atm and well.....
featured_spectre Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 I'm on the £5 package from sky. Pretty decent, only 1 router restart in nearly 2 years.
Arthur Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Is Tesco Broadband, unlimited or "unlimited".
mdench Posted February 14, 2012 Author Posted February 14, 2012 Pretty decent, only 1 router restart in nearly 2 years. got a zyxel one with our post office package it seems to have turned into a restart every 2 hours job atm just randomly drops its IP and wont connect to post office servers and constantly throws wireless devices off the connection
featured_spectre Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Well lets break it down... Broadband - £2.50 You must have line rental MUST be paid for which is a further £13.75 a month You must also have telephone package with a minimum cost of £9 a month So in reality - £25.25 Fair Usage Policy puts it at 100GB. My sky package on the other hand £5 broadband £7 telephone AND line rental (admittedly I haggled) Total cost for me £12 Fair usage policy - does not exist on my unlimited package!
FN-GM Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Do you have Sky tv though? Think yourself lucky, for 100GB download limit, cable broadband including home phone its $120 per month (81 pounds)
Arthur Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 So in reality - £25.25 I think I am going to wait until Tesco offer FREE* "Unlimited" broadband with £13.75 line rental and £11.50 telephone package. That is a far better deal! All this amounts to free advertising for Tesco and little else?
FN-GM Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 All this amounts to free advertising for Tesco and little else? Not sure Tesco need it!
featured_spectre Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 yes I do have Sky TV...infact I haggled on that and pay £49 a month for complete package (Sports, Movies, all 6 entertainment bundles) phone and broadband.
