chrisjako Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 A student ‘s exported graphics file (.htm) does not present correctly for her (pop up menus on hot spot not visible). But if I follow exactly the same steps on a copy of this file in my own work area, it works fine. I have tried copying back all the associated files to the student area, but then it no longer works as intended. Works for me both on students computer and at teacher computer (today). Also students have had problems with the simple export option (again creating .htm file) for interactive buttons. Image files are created on export, for the up, over and down states and put in an images subfolder. However, on running the export option, these image files are not created and the button does not work as intended – just a single state graphic file is created and displayed. If you use export wizard instead of just export on this graphic type, you should get an animation, however this does not happen ether – again just a single state graphic file is created and displayed. Has anyone else had these simalr issues with CS4 Fireworks?
round2it Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 do you disable the run option on the startmenu
chrisjako Posted January 31, 2012 Author Posted January 31, 2012 yes we do, otherwise students can browse network locations - just spoken to adobe they said it may be a permissions issue and to speak to microsoft - i'm sure i'll get M$ telling me to speak to adobe about it!
round2it Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 i have been having problems with dreamweaver no being able to insert videos as a student user with the run command disabled. you might want to test down those lines. and im assuming your account is admin level with no restictions
chrisjako Posted February 2, 2012 Author Posted February 2, 2012 found out the issue is to do with the way the file is exportedm for some reason fireworks does not export the mm_menu.js file, if i drop that file into the folder you export the fireworks graphic to then the pop-up menu works
