joshjacklin Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Hello and good afternoon, I was not sure if this is the right area to be posting this but it is internet related. My school has gone wireless and purchased a NETGEAR WC7520 Prosafe wireless lan controller with wireless nodes. Basically this is my first time working with wireless on a business scale and so, we have got 2 vlans one for guests and one for students and teachers, my boss wants it so if they bring in there laptops or mobile devices they get filtered I have looked on the controller for an option to force it to go through the smoothwall proxy server, so that when they connect to the network they are filtered. Am I thinking along the right lines? I dont have much experience with the proxy server or the wireless controller so if some one could point me in the right direction then that would be cool. Thank you!
Gaz Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 There are one or two threads in the Smoothwall Direct Support forum about this. Ignore the issue that this person is having and the answer is explained in the second post. http://www.edugeek.net/forums/smoothwall-direct-support/88933-ntlm-authentication-domain-users-only.html
