HTTPS with Firefox on Mac

Hi all,

I have a suite of macs set up all working fine with AD and OD. Safari doesn't like to run all aspects of Moodle very well so I've decided to roll out Firefox to the macs. The macs just seem to hang on connecting to our moodle address though. Firefox is configured to use 'system proxy details' which are pulled from the OD server. The http and https settings have all been applied fine in workgroup manager but the macs won't connect to any https website.

 

Just wondering if anyone has come across this before?

have you confirmed that the proxy details being pushed out (including the port number) from WGM are indeed correct? It's the only thing I can think of. You could perhaps log in as a local admin (choose to ignore any preferences being pushed) and then set the proxy manually to see if this works.
