cromertech Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 I want all of that in my house. Can that stuff actually be done? If it can roll on that well overdue lotto win
jumpinjamez Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Interesting concept but rely s on a lot of compatibility but i guess if record profits apple gets its way.................... Good Job these were not around for John McClanes first adventure , all that glass and tech in your feet cant be good.
Greenbeast Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 some of that is doable i guess, the tinting windows a lot of it is a way off, the 'phones' that were transparent, so all the tech is inside the tiny bars top and bottom? years and years off and of course any flexible items won't be glass, they'll be plastic e-ink type things
sted Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 (edited) some of that is doable i guess, the tinting windows a lot of it is a way off, the 'phones' that were transparent, so all the tech is inside the tiny bars top and bottom? years and years off unless the screen is just that a screen thats wirelessly connected to a "battery pack" with all the main gubbins in so all teh glass bit needs is the touch sensors and an aerial (could even over short range get power wirelessly) on a more serios note why would i want info screens etc in every room its bad enough with a mobile at times dont really need calendars/tv etc in say the bathroom most usefull thing there to my mind was the user controllable photochromatic glass being able to darken my glasses (or car windows etc) manually would be good as they dont darken behind car windscreens etc Edited January 25, 2012 by sted
synaesthesia Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Nice. But why do they drive VW Eos's in the future? They're rubbish now!
Greenbeast Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 on a more serios note why would i want info screens etc in every room its bad enough with a mobile at times dont really need calendars/tv etc in say the bathroom ha true! most usefull thing there to my mind was the user controllable photochromatic glass being able to darken my glasses (or car windows etc) manually would be good as they dont darken behind car windscreens etc Yeah, i'm waiting for manually tintable reactions lenses, i've had that in my mind for years, you just want a little linear slider on the arm
