fiza Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 Do people still use Nova-P5 in SIMS to set up Parents Evenings? It seems that we do and and the clerk is having issues trying to print the parent letters. I have tried looking up Nova P5 on Supportnet but nothing seems to come up. Has anyone used any better systems that can pull data from SIMS? Might be time to move to something better. I have seen Room Booking Systems touting their Parents Evening System but havent had a look at it.
Brucy Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 I use it and really don't like it. If it ever doesn't play with word (as it would normally) try looking in task manager, there is often an instance of winword in there which needs stopping. 1
vikpaw Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 There is some stuff on SupportNet for Nova-P, but when you do a solution search, don't change the software to sims.net as is probably habbit and some stuff comes up under SIMS area. just search for p5 or nova-p. Can't do more without knowing the exact error, but .. e.g. KB38663 or KB57807 which might not be relevant, but just an example.
SamanthaJane Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 I know this is an old thread, but did you find a solution to this problem?

SamanthaJane Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Yes but nothing is coming up - have logged a case on there though - thanks.
vikpaw Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 What was the exact error? We never identified it before, if you look under the old SIMS section there are quite a few support threads there, but don't know if any will help.
SamanthaJane Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Problem solved. Turns out you can only print once, so because they had already been printed it wouldn't let us re-print - but wasn't telling us why. So there is a column which tells you you have printed - clear that so it is blank then should be able to reprint.
