Hi,

 

There is quite a lot of forum extensions for Joomla

 

Can anyone recommend a free one that doesn't have all the facebook / twitter / avatar stuff on it

 

Must be linked to the joomla login though if possible so staff only have to log into the intranet once.

I use Kunena on my sites. Free and the support is really good. It is really configurable in the backend so I am sure you could remove anything you didn't want.

 

Any reason for having no avatars though? That is a key feature usually for forums.
