Batch Video Compress

Hi

 

I hope someone can help. We are having realy problems with staff using flip cameras and downloading the files . That not a problem but as they enccoed in MP4 and are mostly over 1gb in size that meaning we have around 100gb plus on server which is running out of space fast (i give it a couple of month before it full). I'm looking at compress the files as much as we can. I'm looking for the following software to be able to do:

 

Compress video and not lose to much quality if possible

be able to run on schedule

convert video into same folder and overwrite other file

ability to search network drive for videos files and compress in batch

Expression Encoder 4 can do what you ask - there is a batch processing thingy in the SDK although its not something I have ventured into.

I've not tried any of the latest versions but this should do what you want TMPGEnc.NET

Just tried that not really what i'm looking for, need a program than will scan a drive pick out the videos and compress back into that file

I recall the time I went to see ICT Direct and when I arrived there was a Silicon Graphics rendering station in it's rack, in the car park, in the pouring rain. It's amazing how little some old technology is worth.
