PowerPoint printing garbage on HP P2050

We have what seems to be an intermittent issue with printing PowerPoint 2003 slides to an HP 2050. This is a new printer (purchased last month). The printout is just broad bands of black lines, or we get it printed minus a wide border of about 2 inches. I've had a look at the documents and printed them elsewhere fine. Printing from Word seems OK. Anyone else had this or can suggest how to track this down?

we had a simaler issue hear in office 2010 it seems our issue was down to the printer driver and it only messed up when pictures were printed. i sujest that you check the printer drivers or if like us the printer is no longer suported you save as a PDF or another format that can be easily opend such as jpeg. and print from those its the only way we have found round the problem.
