davebutleruk Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Have just received our 2012 Corel renewal (corel draw, paintshop pro, painter). We're on a Primary Site Licence and find the costs have increased by 167% Yes they have added extras into the package. But 167% increase? Am I alone? Dave
maark Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Why do you pay an annual renewal? - seems a bit OTT especially for primary. Also free stuff such as such as paint.net and others are pretty good.

Hi, the Corel Academic Site License has completely changed this year, it now contains double the products (6 instead of 3), and media is now supplied free of charge which represents a saving of about £70 for the average school. So given these factors, the site license is better value than even before, and still with free upgrades and inlimited installations.
davebutleruk Posted February 20, 2012 Author Posted February 20, 2012 Thanks for comments Gill, my value proposition is based on buying what I need and therefore the extras that I don't need have no value. Accept not paying for CDs is a saving - but this brings Corel into line with most other vendors I deal with (in fact most now offer downloads rather than media).
