chrbb Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Trolley with 8 hp6720s laptops, XP sp3, buffalo WAPS. The laptops will logon most of the time, which I suppose is pretty good for trolley+wireless, but will not connect to the internet unless the wireless button on the laptop is turned off and then back on. The proxy settings are fine, no other internet problems, I've changed from dynamic IP addressing to setting a static one for each laptop doesn't make any difference. Any suggestions before they all go out the window.
mullet_man Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 What Wireless cards are in the laptops? Are they the latest driver?
chrbb Posted January 9, 2012 Author Posted January 9, 2012 Yeah, according to the HP page, might see if there's an update on the Intel site.
Chris_Cook Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 How about trying windows 7 on one of them? We get far fewer problems now we've upgraded. I can't remember the last random wifi issue on a w7 laptop. XP always had random little problems like this for us. I think we had some issues when laptops weren't shut-down properly. The wireless interface wouldn't come back on properly. Is there anything in the event viewer?
