theeldergeek Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 What desk lamps do you use - pictures would be nice. I'd like to get an LED based one, but the beam on them seems very narrow? Odd post I know, but I'm intrigued.
SYNACK Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Whats the scenario, beside a moniter, laptop, oak library desk? I like the idea of EL wire providing unseen illumination but I have never got around to sorting it.
theeldergeek Posted January 8, 2012 Author Posted January 8, 2012 My scenario? Basic desk at work, but have fluorescent ceiling lighting which is just over-powering. I'd like to know what other folks use, and have found best suited.
hit Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 I have an angle poise lamp that I have had for about 20 years with a R63 low energy refelctor bulb which really reduces the heat. The wide diffuser of the R63 lights the desk nicely and reduces shadows when working on a MB/soldering etc. I also have a draper magnifier lamp for really fine work (and because my eyes aren't what they used to be!)
