pettit87 Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 I am looking at ways in which staff can communicate in an more effective way. I have come across MS LYNC. Is anyone using this across the board as a way of communicating? Does anyone have any more information in the configuration and setup of a LYNC server? Does it link into Exchange 2007 for contact etc? Thanks
GrumbleDook Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 Will you be able to attend BETT in January as I know MS will also have some folk from schools about who could give you there experience of it.

We use it here with our exchange 2010 environment - i don't think it works with exchange 2007. We use it as our phone system and it works really well. We have a mix of desktop phones, jabbra mini handsets for laptop users and headphones with mics. Overall the users get on really well with it, although our reception were very stuck in their ways and took some persuading. We have also just set it up for federated access with another college in the area.
