[sims] Upgrading Solus 3 before Autumn update

Anyone having to update solus 3 before the autumn update is applied? im getting tolerance not met errors when i try and deploy the solus update

Yup, we did the Solus 3 update but haven't done the autumn upgrade yet - no problems here.

 

Does the deployment start and fail on one part (updating the database for example?) or just not start at all?

Yes, me this morning. Solus3 updated fine, wont upgrade SIMS to autumn release. Got a support call in and waiting for an answer.

 

Falls over trying to upgrade the database. Then tells me the DB is offline (or at least the agent part is offline. SIMS works on the Summer release and I've restarted the agent service on the server. Not happy at the mo, wanted it done before i went on holiday!

RE: The Solus 3 Agent saying it's offline - does it show it is still on the previous version of the agent?

 

I had this and in the end hammered the check status every 30 seconds so that it kept it online long enough to initiate the download of the update and the installation task. Was really strange because some agents updated automatically when they were switched on and connected to the server, others sat there and just went offline after getting a command to do something with the heartbeat to a capita url which they failed to do.

might see if I can re-try the agent install on the server when i come back in January then.
