I have one MAC OSX 10.6.4 & a MAC OSX Server 10.6

I want to install all my software on the mac and then take an image to the server so if i want i can redeploy it to the mac.

Where do I start. (after building MAC as i like it)

Do i work on workstation and create an upload job?

Do i work on the server and do a pull job?

Do i install the admin tools on MAC client or is it's happy with std applications?

Please help :)

You start with a Deploy Studio download and go from there. There's many posts about how it works and how to do it in these threads.

Yeh I spotted that was used a lot. Have.download nd am trying to get it working.

1 question, if.you get a new Mac can you just boot to network and image or is there a agent application to need to kick it off?

If the NetBoot.nbi file you have available is from the latest mac you have in your school you can boot all macs upto that date using just one file.

This means that if you have 30 macs all the same then creating a NetBoot.nbi file on one means you can just NetBoot the rest straight out the box.

Hope this makes sense.
