Joomla Parent Subscriptions

Hi All,

 

Does anyone know of or can recommend a Joomla plugin that would allow parents to sign up to receive email alerts for certain sections or categories?

 

I've had a Google with most results having been about paid subscriptions/accounts.

 

Anyone got any suggestions on how to achieve this?

Im not sure i fully understand what you want to achieve, do you mean when you update a section of the site you want to send a email to parents to let them know it has been updated?

If you want you can sign up to Mail Chimp's forever free plan, which allows you have up to 2000 subscribers and sending 12000 email per month.

Yes, that's what I'm trying to achieve but automatic emails, and only if a parent has signed up/entered their email. Similar to subscribe to post on here but for specific catagories or sections in joomla.
