What Format do you use for Staff/Pupils user account

Hi,

What sort of format do you use for your users account in schools/corporate environment.

Do you use different format for user account and email address

First 2 letters of first name, the number of letters in the first name, number of letters in second name, first 2 letters of second name and just a random number from 1 - 9

 

i.e. John Smith = jo45sm9

Currently I work in corporate and the accounts are

Standard users: u+6 digit number for example: u234736

Administrators: a+6 digit number for example: a234736

Start Year Surname First Initial

 

So for excample 11SmithJ, we normaly get a couple of duplications so we have to add a middle initial.

 

Staff are just surname, first initial.
