Lion System Preferences takes 30 seconds to load

iMAC core i5 2.5 GHz, 4GB RAM

 

When I click on the system preferences it takes 30 seconds to load. It is a new machine. Old iMacs does not take much time to load system preferences. It is puzzling me.

 

I only have installed MS Office for MAC. No other additional software.

It used to happen to me, but its ok now. I am not impressed with Lion as the performance isnt as good as 10.6
