dezt Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 I'm having a problem where if I create a normal booking logged in as admin, I can't delete it if I decide I don't need it anymore. This will cause a problem for staff as I can't delete bookings from other members of staff either. The error I get is Method Not Allowed. I'm using HAP+ v7.6.1031, or at least I think I am as there is no banner at the top telling me that there is an updated version available like there was when I was running v7. I'm testing using firefox v8.0 When using IE 9.0 I get nothing, the screen flashes as though i've deleted the booking but it doesn't delete. Has this been asked before? I have tried searching but couldn't find anything.
CHiLL Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 What about deleting the actual entry in ~\App_Data\StaticBookings.xml
dezt Posted November 25, 2011 Author Posted November 25, 2011 It's not a static booking, the way i've done this booking is by clicking on the booking system icon and then booking an empty room as any user would do. Then i've gone back to it to try and remove it by clicking remove as some teachers here decide they don't want the IT room for some reason after booking it, but it won't delete. Ideally I wouldn't want to have to remove bookings by editing the xml files, the whole idea here is so staff can book and remove their own bookings if they need to.
nickbro Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Can you try the update in http://www.edugeek.net/forums/home-access-plus/85747-basic-help-needed-7.html#post759731
dezt Posted November 28, 2011 Author Posted November 28, 2011 Hi Nick, Tried that patch, 7.7 still no joy. Can't delete my personal room bookings. Just noticed on booking a room in firefox, I get an "internal server error" and the room doesn't show my booking unless I move to a different date and then go back to it. When I then try to remove it I still get "Method not allowed"
mattgrimley Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 @dezt, your problem sounds much like the issue i had - worked through loads of troubleshooting, but never actually got it solved. In the end, i tried the install on a fresh server and it worked a treat.. something somewhere in my Windows install was messed up, but nothing would generate a useful error. I know it might seem like overkill, but if you had the same issue that i did then it is with the Windows install, rather than HAP+ and no amount of troubleshooting JSON or HAP will get you there.. If you can, just try a fresh box and copy your entire HAP folder across - for me it started working immediately and gave me a way forward.
