Bahney Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 (edited) Hi, do any of your schools use sims to track Foundation stage pupil progress? i know there is a Sims & the early years course which covers FS tracking and assessment in Sims. Can this be used rather then e-profile? or do the two BOTH have to be used? has anyone had any experience with this? i.e has the LA refused data from Sims? Anyone with experience of this who can shed some light on this would be great. Thank you Edited November 21, 2011 by Bahney missed a bit
sparkeh Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 I don't think that you are obliged to use any particular system to be honest, its down to the school to decide how they want to track progress (but of course its has to be justifiable to OFSTED ). However individual LAs will have different ideas on how they want the data submitted. For example, my schools use e-profile to track and record during the year but the LA want data submitted via SIMS, therefore a quick export from e-profile into SIMS and away it goes. 1

Thanks for the quick responce Sparkeh, i'm assumeing the LA just asks for a report file or an export from sims sent to them? and hey presto?
