Jamo Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Hi all! Anyone had any luck with stopping students from adding printers to stations.... They already cant through the normal add printer wizard. BUT some of them have found a way using the My Pictures section and clicking the photo printing wizard. This allows them to open the add printer wizard and to browse the directory for printers Is there a GPO i am missing to stop this? James

Michael Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 You can still share and deploy printers to users, just don't list them in the directory. Look at the Sharing tab per printer, on a 2008 or 2008 R2 print server. Users can still attempt to search/add a printer(s), but it would come up with no results.
