[improvement] Please disable (or allow users to disable) thread preview

Please at the very least allow users the option to turn off thread preview.

If you don't know what it is, it is the option that when you hover your mouse over a thread it displays the first few sentences in the "alt" text.

It is very annoying. Some forums turn it off, while others at least all the users the option to disable it on a case by case.

 

Can you please allow users to turn this "feature" on or off. Thank you.

It is a checkbox in the admin panel. I can show you where if need be. I've run vbulletin sites before.

It drives me nuts not being able to preview threads on other forums. I prefer it as it is.

I think it's very useful as well.. if you don't want to see the previews, don't hover over the thread title?

Agreed, it actually speeds up my browsing of the site to hover over and see if the post may be relevant (or anything I can help with) otherwise I have to click each post to see if it is pertinent...

 

If there is an option then at least the default should be 'on' so the hundreds (if not thousands) of regular users who have been here ages and not found issue are not left in the lurch as such.

I'm asking for the option for users who dont find it useful to be able to turn it on in their personal control panel.

It's a simple checkbox in the admin panel. It would not change the existing config.

There is no option listed as far as I can see other then the global one that would disable it for all. Was this possibly in vb 3.X?
