bodminman Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Hi there, How do I allow one user account to be able to logon to multiple machines at the same time? XP Sp3 clients and Server 2008. Many thanks (again)
glennda Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 you should be able to login to as many machines as you like - enless there is something restricting. GPO maybe? Are you running something like cc3/cc4 or vanilla.
bodminman Posted November 2, 2011 Author Posted November 2, 2011 Vanilla. What happens if say user 'test' wants to login when user 'test' is logging off another machine? Won't the profile be locked because the account logging off is updating?
glennda Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 (edited) I can log into multiple machines simultaneously and you should be able to by default Probly worth checking your gpo's to make sure there is nothing restricting it. But i can't see anywhere that would restrict it. the only place i've even seen it is on third party apps. Edited November 2, 2011 by glennda
rush_tech Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 You could use a mandatory profile for that user, you should'nt get any problems then
