I'm trying to get my Xbox 360 Wireless controller working with my PC (Windows 7 64bit). I'm using the 'charging' cable to hook it up via usb. The PC sees it in printers and devices yet it doesn't seem to work ingame (Battlefield 3). I've installed the 'support pack' from here:

Software Downloads: Xbox 360 Wireless Controller for Windows

One thing to note, generally my wired controller works every time if I have it connected before I boot the game, if I dont have it plugged in before some games dont pick it up and enable.

quick look round it looks like the charge lead dosent do data so you need a wired controller or the ms adapter to use a wireless one. Not sure if having the controller paired to 2 receivers would mean re-pairing every time you used on the other device.

im thought i had used it before though but i cant get it to work wonder if i can find the adapter for my xbox1 controller and if i can find x64 drivers
