Hi everyone,

I am new to OSX Server. I am trying to set up a studio deploy environment to image new macs with. I think I have set everything up and am able to net boot my machines. Once net booted I receive a credentials error that says the user does not have correct privileges to access the image repository. I have been researching this issue for about a week now with no lock. Anyone have any ideas?

If the shares are configured correctly and the user can mount the repository you will need to recreate the netboot.nbi file if you are automating the process. During the configuration of the .NBI file is where you specify the username and password for the repository IIRC.

Try re-building the NetBoot set and run the configuration for Deploy Studio in system preferences. Need to make sure that the User/Password is the same for authentication.

A great way to test if you are providing the correct credentials is use deploystudio admin to connect to a remote deploystudio server (rather than doing all the work on the server). This gives you a good idea of what remote clients will be able to access.

Love this program.
