I'm trying to use client side extensions to put a Power Options policy onto some latops using Preferences. This is per computer so I've set the Computer preferences up in the group policy where the laptops reside.

I've checked and CSE is installed (943729) but the policy is never applied. Theres no errors in the Application log regarding group policy so I'm not sure where to look next.

Can power option preference be set like this? I also tried setting the User preferences and making the policy a loopback but that had no effect either.

The only error I've found is in the userenv.log:

CExtSessionLogger::Log Didn't find an instance of the extension object when trying to set the dirty flag.

Whatever that means (dirty flag, I ask you!)
