[ms office - 2010] Network shares showing

When a student opens an Office 2010 application, goes to File, Open, in the location box at the top, they see the name of the file path. As part of the path they can see the Server name and if

they click the drop down it shows all the network shares on the file server. They cannot access them as they do not have rights but it is annoying that they see them and are trying to access

them. Is there something I can do so that the server name and shares do not show?
